Buckden Parish Council
Buckden Parish is in the area of North Yorkshire Council - a newly created unitary council. The Parish Council is the first tier of local government and has a variety of responsibilities including matters relating to the environment, public health, recreation, transport facilities and public spaces in the Parish. In addition it also represents local views and interests to the County Council.
The council represents the Parish of Buckden, which covers the top end of Upper Wharfedale and Langstrothdale. The parish includes the village of Buckden itself, as well as the hamlets of Cray, Hubberholme, Raisgill, Yockenthwaite, Deepdale, Beckermonds, Oughtershaw and Greenfield.
